The Legacy Tree Project
Plant Seeds. Grow Leaders. Create Change.
The Legacy Tree Project is a school-based native tree program. Students grow native trees from seed, care for them at school, and help plant them where they're needed in their community. Through hands-on STEM education, environmental stewardship and community partnerships, students connect classroom learning to real restoration work.
Schools, teachers, families, volunteers, businesses, restoration and conservation professionals and community partners can all take part. The program works with Arizona native species such as desert ironwood for restoration at sites like the Bush Fire burn scar in Tonto National Forest.
