50 Sixth Grade Circle Cross Ranch students go to Odysea Aquarium
Following a Drop of Water Fifty sixth grade students from Florence Unified School Districts Circle Cross Ranch Elementary had the opportunity to take their learning beyond the classroom with a visit to OdySea Aquarium. students followed the journey of a drop of water as it traveled from the sky, through rivers and lakes, to the shoreline and ultimately the ocean. Along the way, they explored the animals and ecosystems that depend on that water and saw how the environment around us is connected. The experience was made possible through the continued support and connection between Natural Restorations and OdySea Aquarium. Both organizations have been incredible community partners, investing in conservation, education and opportunities that give students a chance to learn by doing. Their support is also helping The Legacy Tree Project continue giving students experiences that connect what they are learning at school to the world around them. We are grateful to Natural Restorations and OdySea Aquarium for investing in our students and supporting the work of The Legacy Tree Project.

Circle Cross Ranch STEM - Brings The Legacy Tree Project to its community!
## It Starts With a Seed In August, 96 sixth-grade students at Circle Cross Ranch Elementary started a new Legacy Tree Project cycle by planting native tree seeds at their school. Students prepared the soil, planted the seeds and learned how to care for what they started. Within days, the first tiny seedlings began pushing through the soil. Students will grow and care for these trees throughout the school year before passing them on to the next incoming class, who will continue caring for them until the trees are ready to be donated and planted in their communities.
